The Mechanical Pantsyr exists to keep the Sotnyk standing under pressures that would break ordinary men. It absorbs shock, seals against gas and shrapnel, and amplifies strength enough to move through rubble and fire without faltering. Yet it does not make him faster, nor does it spare him pain. Within the armor, every step is felt, every impact counted. The burden is deliberate.

Unlike officers who command from behind, the Sotnyk advances with his men. He plants himself at the weakest point of the trench, where morale wavers and fear spreads quickest. From there, he issues orders not through shouted commands, but through presence alone. When the Sotnyk stands, others stand. When he moves forward, the line follows.

Armed for close combat and survival rather than spectacle, he fights only as much as necessary. His true role is coordination — directing squads, holding cohesion, and ensuring the warband functions as a single will rather than scattered fighters. The armor preserves the body so the mind may remain focused, unbroken by exhaustion or shock.
